A friend owns the very same telephone and I was in a position to test it out ahead of getting one particular. As other reviewers have brought out, the battery life is fairly negative. Be ready to charge your telephone every night if you run a lot of apps. I'll be looking into obtaining a new battery with greater capacity. The Qwerty keyboard though texting can be a tad little, quickly fixed by turning the telephone on the vertical, buttons are slightly larger then. The other 'complaint' about this was that it came without an ear-piece, simply rectified by obtaining 1 inexpensive on the web. As for it being actually unlocked, I haven't been able to test that function out but. We travel often to Asia and I hope it functions there. All in all, I am rather pleased with my buy, esp for the price paid.

Update 10/14/11: Wanted to note too, the adapter that is supplied for N. America consumers is totally worthless as the charger comes with the three rectangular prongs. The adapter offered will not fit, so be ready to get your personal adapter. Apart from that, the phone functions just fine.

I pick this Samsung telephone based on one other model I purchased about a year ago and mainly because this 1 has the Android OS. I found the phone to be what I expected. It is easy to use, works fine with my carrier and I can download apps from Google Android Marketplace. Samsung rates this model as an entry level smartphone.

I want to create some hassle-free Android apps and use them in my phone. I currently did some tests and it functions.

The only reason I am not giving five stars is simply because the telephone came with six apps from a developer in Portugal that I don't want but cannot remove from the telephone.

I would suggest this telephone to those who want a tiny device with a tiny intelligence and not so complicated to recognize and use.
