Costumer Reviews
Efficiency: quick stable.
- It can run Raging Thunder II smoothly (have to have to download data to SD card separately in order to run the game. The information can be found simply on android forums).
- Internet browsing: no lag when scrolling. No double-tap or one-touch zooming (as in Iphone and other capacitive phones) given that this telephone has resistive screen.
Wifi:
- Uncomplicated to config.
- Run smoothly.
Texting: not texting so no comment. Nevertheless:
- Qwerty onscreen keyboard is not spacious (three" screen).
Music:
- Loudspeaker is beneficial for pop, rap. Not very good for metal + rock: I tried playing Tokyo (Resident Evil - Afterlife's OST)and it sounded awful.
Connectivity:
- Normally has fantastic signal.
- No trouble with generating calls (voice is clear).
Software package:
- Running Android 1.6.
- Can be upgraded to two.1 (not officially supported).
Battery:
- 1500mAh = lengthy standby time.
- Run out promptly when running game + WiFi on (battery is drained 21% when running Raging Thunder II for ten mins).
Pros:
- One of the most cheapest WiFi (A)GPS-prepared android telephone.
- Quick stable performance.
- Long battery life (standby time).
- Fantastic style (curves at the best bottom, brushed-metal-like plastic case).
Cons:
- Resistive screen = no double-tap zooming.
- Old version of Android (1.6). But upgradable to 2.1 (assistance Live Wallpaper).
Suggestion:
- Set up APNdroid (need to use three., two.1 will not function) + 3G Watchdog.
- Install ApkInstaller to set up applications from SD card.
The telephone overall was pretty good. Didn't weight a lot and the touch screen was responsive. The Android OS ran nicely. I liked it general. It becoming unlocked and affordable along with the Android OS made it a good get I thought at the time. The problem I had was that while the functions were nice I could not get the telephone to update via the official tools. Other people had this situation all over the globe with this distinct phone. Some had to wait for their cell providers to push out the update but those that purchased it unlocked from many different locations had difficulties at the time. The alternative I was left with at the time was to set up the update myself. A process if completed incorrect could turn the phone into a paperweight. With no US warranty I did not feel protected in undertaking so. So in the finish I returned it and thankfully simply because the device was fulfilled by Amazon.com I was in a position to get my revenue back. If I had the opportunity to buy the phone once more but with the update currently installed I would as I am a fan of the Android OS and did like the phone general. On the other hand I would warn persons that if they do want to update and do not feel like taking particular risk to perhaps look for a different telephone or one with a US warranty.
