A wonderful cell phone, but certainly no peripheral functions.

The very good: Particularly clear voice qualities, acceptable speaker phone function. SUPER affordable ~ ATT now has this telephone as a "(prepaid) GO Phone" $9.99 new or $7.99 reconditioned) , somewhat strange but extremely user friendly crucial board, nice size, camera fairly excellent. Absolutely unexcelled Bluetooth connectivity with something other than my P.C. ~ Grabs my Intellitouch X Link (bluetooth) as soon as I pull into my drive.

The negative (or less than `good'): Speaker telephone might possibly only be engaged Just after call is initiated. Completely NO means of linking with Pc by indicates of USB cable, no memory card capabilities anyway. Quite restricted internal memory, P/C- Bluetooth connectability listed buy apparently not supported, I cannot figure how to get the Incredibly Restricted photos out of the telephone. `Recording' function apparently for phone dialogue only. Slippery, smooth greasy feeling exterior could possibly be negated by adding a "rubberized" snap-on cover.

Overall critique: For use as a cell telephone Very adequate, simple and easy to use. For any person wanting only a bare bones, uncomplicated to use cell phone, it's outstanding! Has virtually none of the bling-bling non-telephone capabilities most cell telephone users seem to want now days. Want a wonderful, straightforward cell phone (only)? Go for it!

Even although this's a prepaid telephone, ATT will assign it to a standard monthly (month-to-month) account with no initiating a contract.

I bougtht this from ATT as an 8 dollar Go phone with minutes. I asked ATT for the unlock code (they will produce it with proof of buy from them), and popped my old sim card in. For 8 dollars, this is a superb telephone. It gets better reception than my old Motorola V190 exactly where I live, and it has bluetooth. Bluetooth is crucial to me simply because my state lately banned cell telephone use in automobiles except for handsfree. It is only dual band, so do not shop for if you need a quad band. Battery life is decent, and the telephone is effortless to use. The important press could be better, but it is not a deal breaker nor inadequate in any way. The instruction manual is poor, and it does not document all the functions. For instance, there is a speaker telephone, but is is not even mentioned in the manual. The button for it activates as soon as you have produced a call. If you play with the keys, you will come across all the attributes. The camera, at 1.3 mega pixels is not terrific, but I expected that. One good feature is becoming able to back up the telephone and transfer files to/from a pc by way of bluetooth utilizing Nokia's no cost Computer Suite computer software and a $2.95 bluetooth usb adapter from ebay. The phone has a calendar to which you can add appointments, birthdays and the like. You can also add speak to information such as address. I don't consider the phone has a lot of memory so I don't know how substantially you can shop. By modern phone standards, this is a fairly basic telephone. For 8 dollars, it was an unbelievable bargain, and I am fairly pleased with it. I have an old, original ATT program, and the only way I can get a new telephone from ATT is to move to a new (significantly more high priced) plan. So this telephone meets my wants really nicely.
